Der schüchterne Bibliothekar Milo muss seinen ganzen Mut zusammen nehmen, um Danny überhaupt anzusprechen. Obwohl der auch an Milo interessiert ist, kommen sie nicht über ein paar heimliche Küsse hinaus, denn da gibt es noch Dannys Pflegetochter, die siebenjährige Melissa. Wenn es nach Milo geht, soll sie nicht erfahren, dass ihr Pflegevater auch auf Männer steht und dass er sich aktuell mit Milo trifft, den Melissa aus der Bibliothek kennt.

So fand ich’s:

Melissa ist ein süßer Fratz und obwohl sie erst sieben ist, greift sie ganz schön in das Leben ihres Pflegevaters ein – mit viel Herz und auch dem richtigen Erfolg. Zuerst will sie Danny eine Freundin suchen. Dann, als es zwischen Danny und Milo nicht so läuft, wird sie wieder aktiv, um die beiden zu versöhnen.

Das ist eine zuckersüße, wunderschön geschriebene Gute-Laune-Geschichte mit Kind und Hund. Wer mal nicht ganz so gut drauf ist, sollte „Somebody nice!“ lesen und wird sofort wieder bester Laune sein. Seufz …

Was ist Don’t Read in the Closet?

Die Gruppe „M/M Romance“ auf der Bücherseite „Goodreads“ hat von 2011 bis 2015 jedes Jahr im Frühling das „Don’t Read in the Closet“-Event veranstaltet. Dabei wurden die Gruppenmitglieder dazu aufgerufen, Fotos und inhaltliche Vorgaben einzureichen, anhand derer professionelle oder Hobbyautoren eine Geschichte verfassen, die sich rund um homosexuelle Liebe oder Erotik dreht. Herausgekommen sind viele Erzählungen, die nach und nach bei Goodreads veröffentlicht und mit kurzer Zeitverzögerung zum kostenlosen Download für jeden freigegeben worden sind.

This is Danny, he is a very nice person and he is very funny, but I think he is lonely.
